The Rev. Virginia Herring joined the clergy staff of Holy Trinity in 1999. Ginny previously served as rector of St. Anne's in Winston-Salem and before that was at St. Luke's in Salisbury. She graduated with an M.Div. from Duke University and did her Anglican Studies at the University of the South in Sewanee. She also holds a Masters in Theology from Duke with an emphasis in Preaching and Biblical Studies. In addition to the "ordinary" duties of a priest, she serves Holy Trinity as clergy liaison to the work of pastoral care, Christian Social Ministries and outreach. Her work for the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina includes serving on Diocesan Council, serving several times as deputy to General Convention and chairing the Bishop's Committee on Clergy Wellness and the Bishop's Committee on Sexual Ethics. She currently chairs the Commission on Ministry. Ginny is blessed with six children and nine grandchildren.
