Bookstore Meeting Space

The Sacred Garden Bookstore has a variety of meeting spaces available for community and non-profit group meetings, classes, book clubs, discussion groups and other events. 

Community Café: A large main room with tables, chairs, and sofa that can be arranged in a number of ways to suit your needs. Adjacent to lobby room with coffee machines and extra table for refreshments. Easy access to kitchen, bookstore, and garden. Capacity: 25-30

Upper Room: A large upstairs room with chairs and one large conference table. Offers a peaceful view of church grounds and Fisher Park neighborhood. TV, DVD player, and flipchart available for use at no extra charge. Sound machine available to place outside door for added privacy or to hinder distraction from outside noise. Capacity: 15-20

Conference Room: A room with one conference table for smaller, more focused or more formal meetings and groups. Sound machine available to place outside door for added privacy or to hinder distraction from outside noise. Easy access to coffee, kitchen, bookstore, and garden. Capactiy: 5-8

Sacred Garden: The beautiful walled prayer garden is located behind the bookstore with five benches, a stone walkway, and a fountain. Easy access to bookstore, coffee and tea, and restrooms. 

Scheduling A Room Reservation

Availability: All of our indoor meeting and event spaces are available during our normal business hours, which are Monday–Thursday, 11 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Our garden is available every day from sunrise to sunset. Please inquire if you are interested in scheduling a meeting or event outside of our regular business hours, as we are occasionally able to accommodate such requests.

Fees: There is a $50 requested donation for the use of the Community Café and Upper Room. This includes coffee and tea, hospitality, and accommodation for any other special needs you may have. The Conference Room and Sacred Garden are available to the community and may be reserved at no charge.* 

Payment: Please make your payment to the Sacred Garden Bookstore on or before the date of your scheduled event or meeting. We accept cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard. Make checks payable to Sacred Garden Bookstore.

Food/Drink: We serve coffee and tea for $1 (or included in your donation for the Community Café & Upper Room). We do not serve food, but you are welcome to have your event catered with delivery. Please ask us about recommendations for local restaurants that can meet your needs.

Parking: You may park on either side of Fisher Avenue or Simpson Street, or you may use the parking lot located behind the garden. Please let us know if you would like a map of the area or directions.

Handicap Accessibility: The Community Café and the Conference Room are wheelchair accessible through the garden entrance to the bookstore. Please park behind the building and enter the gate into the garden. The Upper Room is located upstairs, and is not wheelchair accessible.
