Education for Ministry (EfM)

As Christians, we are called to worship God, spread the Gospel, and minister to each other.  Discerning the paths of our own personal calling is a life-long journey.

Education for Ministry (EfM) is a program developed by the School of Theology at Sewanee (University of the South) for individuals to explore their faith, their gifts and their callings.  Participants study and discuss scripture, both Old and New Testaments, Christian history, and Theology, relating their readings to their own lives, broadening their understanding of how they are called to serve.  Although this is an Episcopal-based program, individuals from any faith background are welcome and can give the group unique and invaluable insights.

EfM at Holy Trinity follows the academic year, beginning in September and ending in late May or early June.  Sewanee limits the group size to between 6 and 12 persons and our group has traditionally kept to a maximum of 8.  We have Zoomed through the last year and we fervently hope to meet in person beginning in the Fall.  We are looking for new participants for EfM 2021-2022.
