Living the Questions: Living the Questions is an open-minded alternative to studies that attempt to give participants all the answers and instead strives to create an environment where participants can interact with one another in exploring what’s next for Christianity. Using Ted talk like video segments from today’s leading religious voices, we will explore Scripture, stories of creation, the incarnation, end-times theology, prayer, and the challenges we face in our current cultural situation. Facilitated by the Rev. Greg Farrand and others, Broome Hall

History Behind the Headlines: We live in an unsettled, complex and rapidly changing world. There continues to be surprising, and sometimes alarming, developments, shifts and challenges to the world we thought we knew. In this class, we will dig down into the historical roots of several of the current “hot spots.” Led by Dr. Jeff Jones, Professor of History at UNCG, Haywood Duke Room

Eclipsing the Empire: Preeminent New Testament scholars Marcus Borg and John Dominic Crossan travel through Turkey as they trace the Apostle Paul’s footsteps throughout the Roman Empire. This 12-session DVD and web-based study explores fresh insights into Paul’s message of the Kingdom of God, its challenge to Roman imperial theology, and the apostle’s radical relevance for today. Led by the Rev. Sarah Carver and the Rev. Nathan Finnin, Roe Library
