Such a commitment is a joyful decision, but before you make it, take some time to reflect on the meaning of membership. Christianity may be a personal faith, but it is not a private one. We are meant to be individual parts of one body, the body of the Christ, and our relationships with one another - in worship, giving, friendship and service - are a witness to our faith.
