Adult Spiritual Formation
Adult Class Teachers Church School is not just for kids! If you have an idea for a class or area of study, or an interest in helping adult parishioners expand their knowledge and deepen their faith, we need you as a teacher or co-leader of an Adult Education Class. Our adult classes run in four short terms of six to eight weeks to make the commitment easier to manage. Classes may be offered on Sundays at the Church School hour (10:15–11:10 a.m.) or at other times of the week.

Book and Gift Cabinet Assistants staff the cabinet outside the Haywood Duke Room between services on Sunday mornings. The cabinet offers a variety of books, cards, pottery, and jewelry for sale. Proceeds help support the Smyth Library.

Covenant Group Leaders guide a small group of six to twelve people who gather regularly for prayer, study, spiritual growth and mutual support in the journey of faith. Generally, two people co-lead a covenant group. Covenant Group leaders often report it to be a profoundly rewarding experience. Training is provided.

Smyth Library Assistants help with categorizing, re-shelving, and processing materials for the library, as well as writing book reviews for the Parish Post. Smyth Library continues to grow and expand its resources. New books, tapes and videos are added monthly. The library is open to all who seek resources to deepen their faith.

The Servant Leadership School of Greensboro needs volunteers in a variety of roles, including: small group leaders, table discussion leaders, help with hospitality, and help with mass mailings. Healing Ground is a co-creative sanctuary in northwest Greensboro dedicated to supporting people who seek to deepen the inward journey of personal transformation and the outward journey of life-giving service. It offers personal and small group retreats, spiritual direction, workshops, and conversations. Opportunities to participate in the ministries that support these facilities include volunteering time and/or financial support for the various aspects of the ministry through gardening, cooking, hospitality, maintenance, office support, and development. The reward is working in a beautiful natural setting and supporting those who seek to deepen their spiritual journey. For more information, visit our website at http://www.healingground.org.
