The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is centered on the belief that young children experience God and have a relationship with Him. The aim of the Catechist is to create an environment that allows children to be in touch with the experiences and relationships by which God is revealed, through the sharing of parables, historical narratives, prayer, silence, and liturgy. Catechesis is currently offered through the Holy Trinity Day School. Some Level II and Level III works is offered to older elementary students on Wednesday nights. If you are interested in any portion of the Catechesis, please join us in this important formation process. We are especially in need of those interested in training to be Catechists and Atrium assistants.
Children and Young Families Ministry Committee meets for one hour per month from September through April to discuss the curriculum for infants through fifth-graders, staffing of classrooms, Vacation Bible School, and other matters. The committee also plans special events geared especially for families with elementary-age children.
Children's Chapel Leaders share their love for children and worship by helping with the Sunday morning Chapel service for ages four through seven. This is a rewarding way to share the stories of our faith with little ones.

Godly Play is a Montessori-based approach to working with children. Its aim is to support, challenge, nourish and guide children's spiritual quest. Sacred stories, our shared history, and the liturgical workings of the church are all introduced in a quiet and respectful atmosphere. This curriculum is used with older three-year-olds through third-graders on Sunday mornings, and some elements are shared with fourth and fifth-graders as well.
Summer Outreach Fun offers opportunities for children in rising fourth through sixth grades to have fun together and make a difference in our community.
Sunday School Gatekeepers greet the class and then assist the teacher with snacks and activities. You can make a difference in the lives of our little ones, even if you aren’t a teacher!

Sunday School Storytellers have a passion for the spiritual formation of our young people, three-year-olds through fifth grade. An excellent curriculum and training are provided, but the main requirements are a love of children and a willingness to share your own faith. This is an excellent way to learn more about the Bible and our Episcopal tradition by teaching others.
Vacation Bible School for children is a major annual event, offered for one week in the summer for children ages three to rising third-graders. Bible School themes may vary from year to year, but the primary focus is to teach important lessons from the Bible through activities, crafts, storytelling, music, movement and games. Many volunteers of all ages are welcomed and needed throughout the week for various duties.
The Way of the Child is a curriculum designed to foster a child's natural relationship with the Divine through the exploration of our image of self, an image of God and our image of the world. Children are assisted in the learning and practicing of spiritual disciplines. The Way of the child is offered on Wednesday nigths to elementary age children.
