Housing Greensboro: Holy Trinity’s New Housing Ministry to Love our Neighbors

Hope Abounds in Greensboro! The Holy Trinity community is partnering with Community Housing Solutions (CHS), a local non-profit, to provide home repairs for Guilford County homeowners. For most people, our home is the center of family life and the most significant way we retain and build wealth. Holy Trinity and CHS are working together to make “homes warmer, drier and safer” for our low-income brothers and sisters and to bring dignity and hope to God’s Beloved Children.

Our first project with CHS is Saturday, May 15, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for Mr. John Jarvis who lives at 3406 Lewiston Rd. His home has been the center for Jarvis family life for generations and has been passed down to family over the years. On May 15, we’ll do yard work, remove house clutter, prepare for a new bathroom, repair gutters and front porch, begin roof replacement, and more. There’s a job for every skill level! CHS licensed contractors and staff will oversee the project. The project cost for the day is $3760.50. In the spirit of giving to help and to raise up our struggling neighbors, we are using excess Angel Tree donations to fund the work. Thank you for your loving gifts!

We need 15 people to help repair Mr. Jarvis’ home. All workers will socially distance and wear face coverings and should wear closed-toe shoes and bring work gloves. Workers must be 14+ years-old. Please arrive at the worksite at 8:15 a.m. Parking is available across the road at Dollar General Store.

Here are a few ways YOU can be a part of this exciting new ministry. You can work on-site, provide bag lunches, or pray at noon on Thursdays for Holy Trinity workers, CHS staff, and Mr. Jarvis. Mr. Jarvis is currently battling cancer. Click here to sign up. Contact Rev. Mark Lile-King at   with your questions.
