Holy Trinity offers a full program on Wednesday nights for those interested in deepening their faith through worship, fellowship and study during the week.
Fall 2010 Wednesday actvities are September 15–December 15, unless otherwise noted. There are no Wednesday activities on November 24.
Open to all those 60 years of age and “moving forward,” TWIGS meets each Wednesday at 4 p.m. for lively Bible study and discussion, spiritual growth, and camaraderie. 4–5 p.m. in Roe Library.
Each Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., we celebrate the Holy Eucharist in All Saints Chapel. These services, with contemporary, youthful music, offer the opportunity for spiritual renewal midweek. 5:30–6 p.m. in All Saints Chapel.
During the program year, supper is served each Wednesday night. These family-friendly meals are made by our own San Pasquale Kitchen Ministry and are served at a cost of $7 per person, with a family cap of $25. Children under 5 eat free. 5–6:45 p.m. in the Haywood Duke Room.
Childcare for children under 4 is provided by Lots of Love Companions, Inc. 5:15–7:15 p.m. in Room 104.
Children ages 4–7 are invited for play, art and a trip to the playground (weather permitting) under the supervision of parishioner Katie Heckman. 5:15–7:15 p.m. in Room 103 (children need not be present the entire time to participate).
For fall 2010, we will expand our children’s music program to offer three choirs for kids, tweens and teens, ages 4 and up! Each choir provides quality musical instruction with an introduction to liturgical music and the opportunity to perform as part of services and special events.
The Gloria Deo and Celebration Choirs lead worship at the 9 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Sunday services and are open to all interested adults.
All choirs rehearse on Wendesday evenings. Visit our Choirs page to learn more.
Have you ever wondered what our children do in their Godly Play rooms? This is your chance to find out. A series of three one-hour introductions to Godly Play will be offered for parents, teachers, and others curious about this program. September 15, 22, and 29 from 6:30–7:30 p.m. in Room 210.
This class offers an opportunity to share our ordinary, everyday stories of God working in our lives in a comfortable and non-threatening way. Led by Cindy Peck and Barbara Metz. 6:30–7:30 p.m. in the Lineweaver Room.
Wisdom Circles will meet weekly throughout the spring at various times of day and on different days of the week, and you can choose the meeting time most convenient for you. A roster of dates, times and leaders for each group will be published in September.
Wisdom Circles are small groups that meet regularly for a time of spiritual connection through prayer, study, sharing and mutual caring.
Clergy, Christian education staff and other gifted volunteers will lead the groups through the use of lectio divina – a contemplative method focusing on the practice of prayer, scriptural reading, and discussion – to study the lectionary reading for the upcoming Sunday.
Wisdom Circles of eight to 10 participants agree to pray for one another daily. They pray together at the weekly meeting, share something of their everyday lives, and spend some time focused on the scripture for the coming Sunday. It is a powerful way of deepening our Sunday worship experience.
