During The School Year 

Sunday School: Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to the Robert Payne Youth House for hands-on scripture learning, skits, activities, donuts, and fellowship in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. 10:15-11 a.m.

 

Sunday Night EYC Meetings: Middle school meets in the Robert Payne Youth House 4:30-6 p.m. High school meets 5:30-7 p.m. The two groups overlap for dinner 5:30-6 p.m.

 

Wednesday Nights with Jenny and Riley: 6th-12th graders are invited to attend Stillpoint, eat dinner, and play pickleball, basketball, and corn hole from 5:30-7 p.m. Worship, share a meal, play, relax, or get help on homework if you like! Look for Jenny Campbell and Riley Walker every Wednesday night.


Worship Milestones

All worship milestones have suggested ages for participation, but you can reach out to Jenny Campbell if you want your young person to participate. 


Rite 13 is a class to explore and celebrate the passage from child to teenager for anyone turning 13 or who just turned 13 (7th is grade suggested). There are three classes with the youth, one youth and parent combined class, and then presentation in worship service. Oct. 13, 20, 27, Parent/Child Nov. 3. Rite celebrated in church on Sunday, Nov. 10.

 

Confirmation: A sacrament for anyone who wants to deepen and recommit to their faith. Recommended for ninth grade or higher. There are four classes and one required weekend retreat. Confirmation candidates will work closely with an adult mentor and attend two Holy Week worship services together. Parent/youth interest meeting on Sunday, Jan. 12, 10:15-11 a.m. Classes Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23. Required Retreat Feb. 28-Mar. 2.

 

Youth Sunday: Youth Sunday is when 6th-12th graders take over worship. They write the prayers of the people, read the lessons, acolyte, usher, and celebrate graduating seniors, who are invited to write a homily to preach at all three services. The Price Scholarship recipient will also be announced. Followed by a reception during Sunday School hour. Sunday, May 4


During The Summer

Glory Ridge Mission Trip serves the people of Madison County through community outreach construction projects. Glory Ridge is for youth who have completed 9th through 12th grade. Held the third or fourth weekend in July yearly. Dates released in December 2024.

 

Pilgrimage: Camino de Santiago Youth in 10th-12th*grades are invited to experience the beauty of pilgrimage with a week-long, 70+ mile walk on the Camino de Santiago in Spain. This year, we will walk the Portuguese route and meet up with the adult pilgrims in Santiago. *Juniors and Seniors receive priority for spots, which are dependent on number of adult chaperones. Camino involvement requires training, community building, and fundraising throughout the year leading up. Interest meeting Fall 2024.
